Cubic table lamps

These lamps were originally created for the 2019 Christmas exhibition at the Water Tower Gallery. The lamps consist of five square panels held together in a cube in a 3-D printed casing. The light inside can either be a normal LED light bulb, or a gentle, slow moving "disco light" with moving colours that creates movement in the pictures.

The pictures are created from microscope and SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) pictures of everything from micro-organisms to body tissues, embryos, seeds and pollen and more, layered together to create scenes. Rowen is responsible for the pictures, Frank for the design and 3-D printing of the frames.

These pictures can also be sold as individual light installations printed on acrylic for backlighting, with black or white wooden casing and LED-lights. Any picture on this website can be taylored into a lamp, so contact us if you would like to make your own combination. Contact Rowen Sivertsen.
